About Me

My name is Jeremy Harget and Avenue 57 is the front-end to my web and design endeavors. I am currently based in Portland, Oregon, but I have done work for clients throughout the entire Pacific Northwest region. I do enjoy working locally, but I always welcome projects from all over the world.

What I Can Do

I prefer to write my code by hand, so I am proficient with XHTML and CSS. However, I am also well versed with Adobe Dreamweaver should the need to use it ever arise. I am also experienced with using Photoshop for creating layouts, logos, and other graphics.

For scripting, PHP is my strongest arm and have developed a myriad of small PHP applications including shout boxes, email forms, and database submissions.

Marketing and promoting a website is just as important as building it, so I continue to develop my skills in that area. In addition to traditional methods such as SEO (Search Engine Optimization), I also leverage the many social networking outlets that are available such as Facebook, Twitter, Blogs, and more.

What I Believe

When considering any design or embarking on any project, usability and accessibility are of utmost importance. I create websites and applications that make use of current technologies available while still maintaining a clutter-free and elegant experience for the end user.
